AI Chamber Appointed to the European AI Act Advisory Forum

AI Chamber has been selected as a member of the AI Act Advisory Forum at the European AI Office as one of 18 entities from the EU’s CEE region, which together represent just over 10% of the Forum’s total membership.

This is an important recognition not only for the AI Chamber, but also for the entire CEE artificial intelligence ecosystem. It also matters because the CEE region remains underrepresented in Brussels technology policy discussions. The AI Act Advisory Forum is an official body established under the EU AI Act to support the European Commission, the European AI Office and the European Artificial Intelligence Board in the practical implementation of the new EU regulatory framework for artificial intelligence.

The process to join the Forum is highly selective. According to the European Commission, 174 members were selected from more than 700 applications, representing business, SMEs, start-ups, academia and civil society. Members of the Forum are expected to contribute technical, market and regulatory expertise, including on standards, implementation challenges and the practical impact of the AI Act on businesses and users of AI systems.

For the AI Chamber, this confirms that the voice of the CEE technology and AI business community has to be better represented at EU level, precisely where the practical rules for applying the AI Act will be shaped. This is particularly important because the upcoming guidelines, standards and interpretations will directly affect innovation, competitiveness and regulatory obligations for companies developing or deploying AI solutions in Europe.

AI Chamber’s presence in this group is also significant from a regional perspective. The CEE region is not only a recipient of EU regulation, but is becoming an active participant in the discussion on how AI rules should work in practice, in a way that protects fundamental rights and safety, while also supporting innovation and the growth of European AI companies.
