AI Action Plan Launches June 17 in Gdańsk During EU Digital Summit

Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) stands at a pivotal point. The region has both the most to gain—and the most to lose from the AI revolution. With the potential to increase annual GDP by up to 5%, equivalent to €90–100 billion in additional economic output, the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence presents an unprecedented opportunity for innovation and growth. But time is of the essence. Each year of delay significantly reduces this potential. The next 12 to 24 months are critical for CEE to act decisively.
To seize this opportunity, the AI Chamber is launching the CEE AI Action Plan, a bold regional initiative designed to accelerate the responsible and strategic adoption of AI technologies. Grounded in a simple but urgent economic reality, the plan highlights how embracing AI can unlock transformative growth across CEE. It offers targeted recommendations for CEE governments to accelerate AI adoption, foster deeper regional cooperation and firmly position the region as a dynamic hub of AI innovation.
The campaign will officially launch on 17 June 2025 in Gdańsk, alongside the Digital Summit hosted by the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs and the European Commission, under the auspices of the Polish EU Presidency. The event will gather key stakeholders from across CEE—governments, industry leaders, and academic experts—to unveil the CEE AI Action Plan and chart a shared vision for the region’s digital future.
Stay tuned as we launch this campaign and work together with regional partners to shape the next chapter of innovation in Central and Eastern Europe.
The event is being organized under the patronage of the Polish Presidency.
