Opinion of the AI Chamber on the document “Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Poland by 2030”

The AI Chamber, an organization representing entrepreneurs who develop and implement artificial intelligence-based solutions, is pleased to present its opinion on the draft document titled “Policy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Poland by 2030”, submitted by the Ministry of Digital Affairs for public consultation.
“The Policy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Poland by 2030” is an important and necessary document that correctly identifies key challenges and outlines an ambitious vision for Poland in the field of AI. The AI Chamber welcomes the overall strategic direction and appreciates the commitment to building a robust AI ecosystem.
However, for the “AI Policy” to fully realize its potential, it is essential to incorporate the detailed recommendations outlined below. In particular, it is necessary to:
- Refine regulatory and legal aspects to minimize burdens on businesses and avoid unnecessary duplication of existing legal frameworks, especially in the context of the GDPR and the AI Act.
- Increase the specificity of planned actions and indicators to ensure their measurability and effectiveness.
- Shift the focus from regulation to innovation support, particularly by accelerating the creation of regulatory sandboxes and stimulating demand for AI solutions.
- Reassess the approach to copyright issues, avoiding the prioritization of interests of entities that do not directly contribute to the development of domestic AI.
- Strengthen the role of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology in the implementation of the strategy.
The AI Chamber remains ready to continue its collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and other public institutions to ensure that the “Strategy for the Development of AI in Poland by 2030” becomes an effective tool for fostering the growth and adoption of responsible artificial intelligence in Poland. Our shared goal is to build a competitive economy and enhance societal well-being through the transformative potential of AI.
